Cathy Marston is a choreographer, artistic director and Clore Cultural Leadership Fellow. She was previously Director of the Bern Ballet, Switzerland, Associate Artist of the Royal Opera House, London, and works with many other companies worldwide. She is also a certified Relational Dynamics Coach.

Clore Cultural Leadership Fellow 2013/14
The Clore Leadership Programme was set up to develop 25 outstanding cultural leaders each year, in areas ranging from performing/visual arts to museums/heritage.
Fellows have unparalleled access to senior cultural leaders, a diverse peer group and to extensive networks. As part of her fellowship Cathy is seconded to the Sadler’s Wells, London, working on plans for their new theatre and development strategies among other things. She has also trained as a Relational Dynamic Coach and is being mentored by Jenny Waldman.
Three Sisters (Working Title)
A new full-evening creation for Ballett im Revier, Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
Premiere: 25th May 2014
Following the success of Orpheus for this up and coming ballet company in 2013, Cathy will create this new work based on Chekov’s play, to a score of Rachmaninof, Ustvolskaya and Part.

Swan Maidens (Working Title)
A new full-length work inspired by the myth of the Swan Maiden, as well as Ibsen’s protagonist, Nora.
Premiere 21st March 2015
To an orchestral score anchored by the music of Sibelius and brought together by Philip Feeney, Cathy is working again with dramaturg, Edward Kemp to create a scenario that draws on myth but connects the themes to contemporary society.

A new work – Copenhagen Sommerballet
With the title yet to be announced, Cathy is looking forward to building on the success of Elephant Man in 2013 with a new premiere in Copenhagen in August 2015. More details to follow.
